We have the finalists for this year’s Philip K. Dick Award, a recognition organized by the Philadelphia Science Fiction Society and the Philip K. Dick Trust that is given to “distinguished science fiction published in paperback original form in the United States during the previous calendar year.”

The six nominees were selected by judges Maurice Broaddus, C. S. Friedman, Rajan Khanna, Carol McGuirk, and Carrie Vaughn:

  • City of Dancing Gargoyles by Tara Campbell (Santa Fe Writers Project)
  • Your Utopia: Stories by Bora Chung, translated by Anton Hur (Algonquin Books)
  • Time’s Agent by Brenda Peynado (Tordotcom)
  • The Practice, the Horizon, and the Chain by Sofia Samatar (Tordotcom)
  • Alien Clay by Adrian Tchaikovsky (Orbit)
  • Triangulum by Subodhana Wijeyeratne (Rosarium Publishing)

Last year’s winner was These Burning Stars by Bethany Jacobs (Orbit), with The Museum of Human History by Rebekah Bergman receiving a special citation.

The 2025 winner and any additional special citations will be announced on April 18, 2025 at Norwescon 47 in the Seattle, Washington area. You can find more information on the Norwescon website.
