The Tick Has a Premiere Date! Also a Costume! And Whoopi Goldberg!

Amazon announced the release date and a few picture from their reboot of The Tick. Check out Peter Serafinowicz in all his blue glory!

The synopsis for the show is as follows:

In a world where superheroes have been real for decades, an underdog accountant with zero powers comes to realize his city is owned by a global super villain long-thought dead. As he struggles to uncover this conspiracy, he falls in league with a strange blue superhero.

And he’ll be here sooner than you think! The Tick will premiere on Amazon Video on August 19th. Here are a couple of promo pictures to whet your appetite, with Whoopi Goldberg as an added bonus because she should be everywhere, always.
