Eleanor West’s “No Quests” rule is about to be broken…
We’re thrilled to share the cover for Come Tumbling Down, the fifth installment in Seanan McGuire’s award-winning, bestselling Wayward Children series. Available in January 2020, Come Tumbling Down picks up the threads left dangling by Every Heart a Doorway and Down Among the Sticks and Bones.
When Jack left Eleanor West’s School for Wayward Children she was carrying the body of her deliciously deranged sister—whom she had recently murdered in a fit of righteous justice—back to their home on the Moors.
But death in their adopted world isn’t always as permanent as it is here, and when Jack is herself carried back into the school, it becomes clear that something has happened to her. Something terrible. Something of which only the maddest of scientists could conceive. Something only her friends are equipped to help her overcome.
Eleanor West’s “No Quests” rule is about to be broken.
Again.

Come Tumbling Down

And now I’m kicking myself for not making the connection from the title sooner.
Yes! Jack is by far my favourite character, and the Moor is my favourite setting so far. I’m really looking forward to this.
I’m in the middle of reading “Into the Drowning Deep” since I finally got a print copy this morning – must catch up & read “In An Absent Dream” before this comes out! But… I’m kind of also in the midst of a re-reading/listening of the Toby books in audio… being as I finally managed to get hold of a legal-to-my-region copy of “Night & Silence” that’s physically accessible for me (I struggle with hardbacks, Audible UK doesn’t have books 8 to 12, & I can’t get the ebook on Kindle in my region either), and it happens to be in mp3-CD form (thank you, Brilliance Audio).
Oof, I love Seanan’s writing but I’m tired just considering all this. Chronic fatigue sucks!
Because *LOVE*
And that cover!
I know Seanan McGuire isn’t interested in doing any kind of omnibus edition, but I dream of a boxed hardcover set for all of these someday.
