Here it is: the shortest, most teaser-licious look at Moiraine (Rosamund Pike) in Amazon’s The Wheel of Time.
The series’ Twitter account shared this splashly peek today, with a video description that offers a tiny bit more context: “The video opens on darkness as we hear the sounds of a powerful energy in the background. A woman’s voice says ‘Do not underestimate the women in this tower.’ We then see Golden Globe winner Rosamund Pike emerge with her eyes closed. It’s Moiraine, legendary Aes Sedai of the Blue Ajah. As she opens her eyes, light flows around her before the video ends with a bright flash.”

Two things that immediately snagged us: Tower isn’t capitalized in the caption, which is odd, since the Tower she’s referring to is generally capitalized in the books. And is this a scene in the White Tower? Because we don’t go there in the first book.
This is the first peek we’ve gotten of the cast in character; previous tiny teasers have revealed Mat’s dagger, the Heron Blade, a snippet of the score, and a glimpse of the set. There’s no word yet on a specific release date for the adaptation of Robert Jordan’s epic series, but the cast is in place and filming is clearly underway. It can’t be that long before they tell us when we get to watch.
