Halloween is over so that means… it’s Christmas time, I guess. Not quite ready to embrace the holiday spirit? Don’t worry, Disney+ has got you—the streaming platform released a teaser today for Marvel’s Hawkeye that was full of Yuletide cheer as well as bows and arrows.
Check it out above.
It looks like Hawkeye (aka Clint Barton, aka Jeremy Renner) and his new “partner” Kate Bishop (Hailee Steinfeld) will be facing an “Avengers-level threat” together, something that Vera Farmiga’s Eleanor Bishop seems a bit befuddled by.
The teaser gives us a few action-packed scenes, some of which we’ve seen before. We also get a taste of the rapport between Clint and Kate—Kate wants to be a superhero because it’s cool, while the grizzled Clint emphasizes that being a superhero means facing death and sometimes sporting horrible haircuts.
The tone of the teaser is lighthearted, however, and suggests that Hawkeye will be happier fare than what Clint went through in Avengers: Endgame.
In addition to Renner, Steinfeld and Farmiga, Hawkeye stars Fra Fee, Tony Dalton, Zahn McClarnon, Brian d’Arcy James, and newcomer Alaqua Cox as Maya Lopez. Rhys Thomas, whose previous credits include directing the comedy special John Mulaney & the Sack Lunch Bunch, helms the project. Directing duo Bert and Bertie are also on board.
The first two episodes of Hawkeye premiere on Disney+ on Wednesday, November 24. The remaining four episodes will drop one at a time on subsequent Wednesdays, leading to a finale just in time for Christmas.
