It’s almost—if two months counts as “almost”—time to hang out with Captain Pike and the gang again. The first teaser for Strange New Worlds is less focused on those worlds than on the Enterprise‘s most excellent crew, which is as it should be. Get ready for some fancy flying—and for more of Paul Wesley’s improbably and incredibly perfect James T. Kirk.

I’m genuinely not sure what the best thing here is: Ortegas (Melissa Navia) so totally enjoying herself? Spock (Ethan Peck) coming up with the most literal statement when he’s in the captain’s chair? (Why is he in the captain’s chair??) The appearance of Carol Kane? Number One (Rebecca Romijn) teasing La’an (Christina Chong) about the energy she’s giving off when Kirk shows up? Anson Mount’s continued commitment to that hair? Whatever’s going on with Nurse Chapel (Jess Bush) and Dr. M’Benga (Babs Olusanmokun)?

Okay, no, the best thing about this teaser is that it’s fun. (It’s also unintentionally hilarious for Postal Service fans; I just can’t convince myself that Ben Gibbard has a voice that belongs in space.) As Pike says, “The next great age of exploration starts with us.” And they’re going to have a good time while exploring. With some stress, of course. Space is very stressful.

First, they’ll just have to help Kirk figure out revolving doors.

Strange New Worlds premieres June 15th on Paramount+.
