Robin Williams Tunnel

The Rainbow Waldo Tunnel has famously ushered drivers on to the Golden Gate Bridge and San Francisco for decades, and now as of March 1st, the rainbow-adorned tunnel will be known as the “Robin Williams Tunnel” in honor of actor, Orkan, Genie, and lifelong Marin resident Robin Williams. CalTrans District 4 released this sweet statement:

Williams resided in Marin, and his character Mork on the show “Mork & Mindy” often wore rainbow-striped suspenders. As such, it seems a nice tribute to the late, great comedian and actor who brought smiles to so many of us over the years.

Who’s up for a road trip?
