Did you ever imagine that you’d hear “Sweet Dreams (Are Made of This)” in relation with Madeleine L’Engle? Well, an excellent Eurythmics cover brings just the right tone to the first trailer for Disney’s A Wrinkle in Time, conjuring a world as trippy as what L’Engle’s classic novel activated in the imaginations of young readers.
Despite this being billed as a teaser trailer, there is so much to take in: Mrs. Who/Whatsit/Which looking like queens out of Jupiter Ascending, guiding young Meg Murry (Storm Reid) to “be a warrior” in order to rescue her hot scientist dad Chris Pine from whatever strange dimension he’s trapped in.
Ava DuVernay and Jennifer Lee’s vision looks so extremely cool. Check out the teaser trailer:
