Legendary Pictures has revealed a new trailer for Pacific Rim: Uprising, in theaters March 23, and there’s some serious “Green Ranger” danger in play.
Who is inside our mysterious Jaeger-who-just-wants-to-watch-the-world-burn? (Okay, it seems somewhat obvious who they are since there are only so many characters in this world, but still…why would they let the kaijus BACK in?)

Okay, Pacific Rim. It is all on you. Literally every single pop culture franchise recently has disappointed me, you need to be the one that stems the tide. Just take what was best about the first movie and do exactly the same as that. Don’t play with expectations. Don’t tease the action. Don’t spite the audience. Don’t try and deconstruct anything. Just cancel the apocalypse and punch giant monsters in the face. Don’t even give most of those kids names, give their giant robots the names; the robots I care about, not the kids. You can do this, Pacific Rim, I believe in you.
