@2 Yeah strangely my mind went to Bran al’Vere, but then I remembered he’d already been cast.

Matt Hatch from The Dusty Wheel is my favorite WoT innkeeper.

Thanks for reading my musings.

I mean, I can’t say I was chomping at the bit for this particular casting, but I’m glad things are still moving!

Mod – the casting reveals also should include the Grinwells and “Dana” – is it Else?  Is it Min? Is it Mili Skane?- announced a few days ago.

They’re gonna need a lot of makeup to make him look like Setalle Anan.

Casting list is also missing Maria Doyle Kennedy in an undisclosed role (cough cough Elaida).  Ditto Peter Franzen (apparently Kerene’s warder).  .

I was thinking it was way too early to be casting Setalle.

We really need to get to the casting of Bela (AKA the Dark One).

Lisamarie:

These are just the official name releases. They’ve likely already shot this actor’s scenes.

RobM@5,7:

From what I can see, Tor.com is only posting the “official” castings that have been released by @WoTonPrime. We know a lot more castings that Amazon hasn’t made official, or announced on Social Media.

I had to lol @@@@@ the trolling in 12.

Daniel Henney has two inches and 20 lbs on Adrian Paul. I’m assuming he meant Lan, not Rand.

Either way, Lan and Rand are both 6’6″ in the books, although apparently Lan is much more heavily built than Rand. Neither of them are in any way described as 6′ 180 lb Adrian Paul.

I don’t think people understand how ridiculously large Rand and Lan are. They dwarf Chris Hemsworth. The actor they cast to play Lan is bigger than Chris Evans, who plays Captain America.

Lan? If you wanted someone to accurately portray the physicality of Lan, you’re talking finding someone built like NFL defensive end JJ Watt.

Think Darth Vader, he was six six. Yes, that is very tall. I’d look Lan or Rand right in the wishbone.

AP @11  – the Grinwells and “Dana” were announced on Wotonprime.  I’ll have to check for MDK and Franzen.

Should do a new blurb for the casting announcements from yesterday.  Maria Doyle Kennedy as Ila, the loving wife of Raen who serves the leader of the Tuatha’an Traveling People.  Daryl McCormack, long known to be cast without confirmation of role, will be Aram.  Indian actor Narinda Samra is playing Raen.

I have mixed feelings about MDK.  I was REALLY hoping she’d play Elaida, but I’m happy to have her in anything she wants to play.
