Riddle me this! That’s what The Batman director Matt Reeves wants you to do, at least. The filmmaker recently shared the URL that Paul Dano’s Riddler uses in the movie and urged folks to check it out. If you did and answered three riddles successfully, you were treated to a five-minute cut scene from the film featuring none other than the Joker.
“Who gets the last laugh…?” Reeves tweeted, followed by the URL rataalada.com. Those who have seen the movie (minor spoilers here, though emphasis on minor) know that this website was one that the Riddler used to communicate with Robert Pattinson’s dark and disgruntled Batman.

When you go to the website now, you are faced with “The Ridder” asking you three riddles. If you answer them all correctly (the answer is not “helicopter“) you get directed to a cut scene of the Batman and Barry Keoghan’s Joker. If you don’t want to go through the process of answering the riddles (and no, I’m not going to tell you the answers, that’s not fun), you can check out the clip above.
The scene is an impressively creepy one and has the two characters mumbling at each other and giving off very Clarice Starling and Hannibal Lecter vibes. The Batman wants the man-who-will-become-the-Joker (Reeves has said he wasn’t fully the Joker yet) to profile The Riddler, and Keoghan does in a suitably disturbing way.
Reeves had mentioned the existence of this scene in previous interviews. “There are a couple scenes that aren’t in the movie because I didn’t think they worked in the movie to make the best movie,” he told Cinema Blend. “But they are scenes that I love, and after the movie is out, I really want to release these scenes.”
It looks like Reeves is fulfilling his promise on that front, and if you want to see Keoghan’s sinister depiction of the Joker, take a gander at the clip. You likely won’t be disappointed.
