George Miller’s Three Thousand Years of Longing, the director’s first film since Mad Max: Fury Road, will hit theaters in a week’s time, and MGM has released a clip from the film as well as a behind-the-scenes featurette to get us ready for it.

Three Thousand Years of Longing centers around scholar Dr. Alithea Binnie (Tilda Swinton), who inadvertently frees a Djinn (Idris Elba). The Djinn wants Alithea to make three wishes, but Alithea is wise to the dangers of doing so. The movie unfolds from there with the Djinn regaling Alithea with stories from his past.

The clip MGM released (see above) is the meet-cute moment between Alithea and the Djinn. Most of it includes an up-close-and-personal look at the Djinn’s enormous feet.

Not to be outdone by Elba’s toes, Miller is also interviewed in another video (along with Swinton and Elba) about what the heck the film is all about.

Check it out below:

“This is a story about the mysteries and paradoxes of life,” Miller says in the video, which is peppered with scenes from the film as well as commentary from Elba and Swinton about how awesome George Miller is.

The featurette ends with Miller saying this story was meant to be seen on the big screen. You can do so when Three Thousand Years of Longing premieres in theaters on Friday, August 26.
