Dick Turpin and his merry band of weirdos have more adventures ahead. Apple TV+ has renewed The Completely Made-Up Adventures of Dick Turpin for a second season, which will reportedly feature “a host of great British comedy talent,” according to Deadline.

The series premiered in March of this year; The AV Club called itOur Flag Means Death’s long-lost twin.” Noel Fielding (The Mighty Boosh) stars as Dick Turpin, who—well, let’s let the synopsis explain:

In The Completely Made-Up Adventures of Dick Turpin, Dick Turpin (Noel Fielding) sets out on a journey of wildly absurd escapades when he’s made the reluctant leader of a band of outlaws—and tasked with outwitting corrupt lawman and self-appointed thief-taker Jonathan Wilde (Hugh Bonneville). In this irreverent retelling set in the 18th century, Turpin is the most famous but least likely of highway robbers, whose success is defined mostly by his charm, showmanship and great hair. Together with his gang of lovable rogues, Turpin rides the highs and lows of his new endeavors, including a brush with celebrity, all whilst trying to escape the clutches of the thief-taker.

The series was created by Claire Downes, Ian Jarvis, and Stuart Lane, who also all co-created The Job Lot. Fielding, Richard Naylor (Red Dwarf), and Jon Brittain (The Crown) write the show alongside the creators. Along with Fielding and Bonneville, the first season’s cast included Duayne Boachie, Ellie White, Marc Wootton, Asim Chaudry, and Mark Heap.

There’s no word on when the second season will arrive, but season one is available for your viewing pleasure on Apple TV+. icon-paragraph-end
