The Philip K. Dick Award is given each year for “distinguished science fiction published in paperback original form in the United States during the previous calendar year.” Last year’s winner was The Extractionist by Kimberly Unger, with a special citation for Tade Thompson’s The Legacy of Molly Southbourne.

The judges for this year’s award are Kali Wallace (chair), Nicky Drayden, Gordon Eklund, Christopher V. Rowe, and Lisa Yaszek.
The Philip K. Dick Award is sponsored by the Philadelphia Science Fiction Society and the Philip K. Dick Trust, with the annual award ceremony sponsored by the Northwest Science Fiction Society. The winner is announced each year at Norwescon, which takes place in the Seattle area, and this year’s ceremony will be held on Friday, March 29th.
