Melody L. Simpson is the Founder of
Melanin in YA, your source for all things Black in traditional young adult publishing. She is also the Co-Editor of the anthology,
Writing in Color: Fourteen Writers on the Lessons We've Learned. When not writing or reading, she can be found in the audience of a musical or play thanks to her musical mother, walking around the exhibit floor of conventions that she grew up on thanks to her comic book artist father, or at home feeding her TV addiction.
