Avatar: Fire and Ash, James Cameron’s third installment in the franchise, is set to come to Disney+ after making almost $1.5 billion worldwide when it came out in theaters last December.

If you missed it in the theater, or want to watch all three hours and 17 minutes of it again, don’t fret: Disney+ announced that the movie will start streaming on its platform on June 24, 2026. You can find the film under their “Avatar Collection,” which also houses the first two films and the documentary, Fire and Water: Making The Avatar Films.

Fire and Ash won an Oscar for its visual effects, and also includes a story, which is touched on in the movie’s official synopsis:

Return to the breathtaking world of Pandora with Avatar: Fire and Ash, the immersive third chapter of Marine turned Na’vi leader Jake Sully (Sam Worthington), Na’vi warrior Neytiri (Zoe Saldaña), and the Sully family. Living amongst the Metkayina Clan in the picturesque reefs of Pandora, but still reeling from the death of a family member at the hands of the RDA, the Sullys set out to protect another loved one from harm. Aided by the peaceful Tlalim Clan, also known as the Wind Traders, who sail the skies, the Sullys’ journey is cut short when they’re attacked by members of the Mangkwan Clan, aka the Ash People, who blame Eywa for the devastation of their home by a volcano.

In addition to Worthington and Saldaña, Fire and Ash stars Sigourney Weaver, Stephen Lang, Oona Chaplin, Cliff Curtis, Joel David Moore, CCH Pounder, Edie Falco, David Thewlis, Jemaine Clement, Giovanni Ribisi, Britain Dalton, Jamie Flatters, Trinity Jo-Li Bliss, Jack Champion, Brendan Cowell, Bailey Bass, Filip Geljo, Duane Evans, Jr., and Kate Winslet. The script comes from Cameron & Rick Jaffa & Amanda Silver.
