We finally know when CBS’s paranormal series Evil will return: June 20th. And when it does, it won’t come back to television, but rather the streaming service, Paramount+.

The series debuted on CBS back in 2019, and follows psychologist Dr. Kristen Bouchard (Katja Herbers), Catholic-priest-in-training David Acosta (Mike Colter), and contractor Ben Shakir (Aasif Mandvi) as they work to investigate unexplained phenomena like demonic possessions, hauntings, and miracles—and face off against Dr. Leland Townsend (Michael Emerson), an expert on the occult who often encourages people to act out in evil ways.

The trailer for this new season teases a whole bunch of new horrors: exorcisms, supernatural creatures, and ,of course, Townsend still at it. The team deals with some of their own demons—David faces temptation, Kristen deals with the fallout after killing someone, and Ben has a few night terrors that hit close to home.

Evil comes from the same folks who created CBS’s The Good Wife, and Leah Schnelbach dubbed the show a must watch in their review of the first season. The series scored a quick season two renewal back in 2019—last week, the network decided that instead of releasing on CBS, it would bump the series over to Paramount+, noting that the show’s audience will help build up its subscriber base.

The new thirteen-episode season will drop episodes each Sunday, starting on June 20th. Fortunately, there’s plenty of time to catch up on the first season if you haven’t already.
