The first trailer for Disney+’s upcoming Marvel series The Falcon and the Winter Soldier has finally arrived… along with a fast-approaching premiere date.

A lot of good-natured bickering and bonding happening between Steve Rogers’ old best friend and his new best friend, as Bucky Barnes and Sam Wilson navigate a brand new world without Steve’s iteration of Captain America there to lead the way. We don’t see Sam take up the iconic circular shield—the end that we must assume this season is building toward—but we do see plenty of iconography associated with the Cap mantle, and a lot of dour talk about the baggage said mantle comes saddled with.

We also get a glimpse of Baron Zemo, who has already been announced as the series baddie, having first appeared as the antagonist that split the Avengers apart in Captain America: Civil War. Zemo’s reappearance is never good sign, but hopefully Bucky and Sam are close enough at this point that Zemo won’t be trying to pull the same scheme twice. (They were technically on the same side in Civil War anyhow… if you don’t count the old-Hollywood romantic scathing banter they’re constantly engaged in.)

The Falcon and the Winter Soldier will premiere on Disney+ on March 19th, 2021.
