In the original story in which Irene Adler appears, the plot centers around the recovery of a photograph, so it’s only fitting that the first images of Sherlock’s other most famous nemesis feel like a photo scandal. First above, second below the cut.
The second series of BBC’s 21st century version of Holmes; Sherlock is poised for a return in early 2012 and one of it’s episodes will be titled “A Scandal in Belgravia” in reference to the original Adler story “A Scandal in Bohemia.” This story was not the first appearance of Holmes(that would be the novel A Study in Scarlet), but it was the first Holmes short-story ever printed. In any case, this Adler will be played by Lara Pulver, which you can investiage at the top of the post and right here.

Another Irene Alder is of course returning to screens very soon too, in the form of Rachel McAdams in Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows.

I can’t wait for ‘Sherlock’ to come back! The first and third episodes of season one were phenomenal. (About the second the less said the better)
I like Lara Pulver. She gives off a sense of sophistication, more than Rachel McAdams.
