A lot happened at San Deigo Comic-Con last weekend, including Keanu Reeves crashing Collider’s directors’ panel to drop a surprise teaser for the fourth John Wick film, which you can check out above.
“No one, not even you, can kill everyone,” someone says to Wick (Reeves) in the teaser. Based on what we see, however, it sure looks like Wick will make a noble effort at it.
When we last left Wick in John Wick: Parabellum, Wick had joined forces with the Bowery King (Laurence Fishburne) to take on the High Table, a.k.a. the assassin network that used The Continental hotel as one of their hubs to do business.
Wick is still set on bringing the High Table down in John Wick 4 (or JW4, according to Lionsgate’s marketing team), and we see him shooting people from the hood of a moving car, jumping out of windows, and hitting a board repeatedly with great dramatic effect. Wick is back, baby! Though he does seem a bit worn down, to be honest. Maybe some of the new cast members will help him bring the High Table down.
In addition to Reeves and Fishburne, JW4 (as the kids call it) stars Ian McShane as Winston, Lance Reddick as Charon, and Rina Sawayama as Akira. It also stars Donnie Yen, Shamier Anderson, Bill Skarsgård, Hiroyuki Sanada, Scott Adkins, and Clancy Brown in as-of-yet undisclosed roles. Like the Wick films before it, it is directed by Chad Stahelski.
John Wick 4 murders its way into theaters on March 24, 2023.
