There are more than a few retellings of Arthurian legend out there in the world, but none can quite hold a coconut to 1975’s Monty Python and the Holy Grail.

It’s been a staggering fifty years since the film starring the legendary comedy troupe known as Monty Python came out. In its loose retelling of the story of King Arthur, Graham Chapman plays Arthur, Terry Gilliam plays his squire/horse, Patsy, and John Cleese, Eric Idle, Terry Jones and Michael Palin play his Knights of the Round Table (among other roles).

That’s right, fifty years! I can’t believe it (though my stiff, creaking knees do). To celebrate the occasion, Shout! Studios and Fathom Events are bringing Monty Python and the Holy Grail back to theaters. The movie is set to play across the country on Sunday, May 4, 2025, and Wednesday, May 7, 2025. This is your chance to see the Black Knight deal with his flesh wounds on the big screen! To see the killer rabbit be killer outside the comfort of your living room television set! To see the peasant who used to be a newt looking just fine in cinematic detail! I could go on.

You can start buying tickets to theatrical screenings of Monty Python and the Holy Grail on April 4, 2025 by heading to this website.  Enjoy this poster below, to celebrate the occasion. icon-paragraph-end
