The horror season is upon us! And one of the delightfully scary experiences heading our way this October is Mr. Crocket, a film about a kid’s show host…who just happens to be a demon that kidnaps children.

Here’s the movie’s official synopsis:

In 1993, a mysterious children’s show host, Mr. Crocket, magically emerges from television sets to kidnap young children, brutally slaying their parents in the process. After Mr. Crocket snatches her son, one determined mother embarks on a perilous quest to track down the demonic entertainer and rescue her boy.

The teaser we got today gives us some creepy clips from that fictional 1990s television show, Mr. Crocket’s World. According to the teaser, this kid’s programming has “toe-tapping melodies and persuasive lyrics” and is a “mystical romp [that] will have children of all ages clapping, dancing, and singing along. Let Mr. Crocket and his delightful companions be your child’s guide to a dimension where friendship and control know no boundaries. They’ve never had a friend like him…”

Mr. Crocket comes from director Brandon Espy, who co-wrote the script with Carl Reid. It comes from a 2022 short that Espy made for Hulu’s Bite Size Halloween. It stars Jerrika Hinton, Elvis Nolasco, Ayden Gavin, Kristolyn Lloyd, and Alex Akpobome.

The movie premieres on Hulu on October 11, 2024.
