The Witcher is coming. To help close out its #GeekedWeek, Netflix has shown off an ever-so-short teaser of the upcoming second season of the fantasy TV series.

The streaming service also announced that it’s partnering with CD PROJEKT RED to host a one-day virtual WitcherCon, which is set to take place next month—where we’ll presumably get a longer glimpse at the upcoming season.

The Witcher has been one of Netflix’s biggest hits in recent years: adapted from the first two books (The Last Wish and Sword of Destiny) of Andrzej Sapkowski’s book series. It follows a monster hunter named Geralt of Rivia (Henry Cavill), the titular Witcher, and a host of allies and enemies that he encounters on his journey.

Netflix renewed the series for a second season before the first even debuted, but the COVID-19 pandemic meant that the studio wasn’t able to complete its production until recently—the series will be returning to screens later this fall.

The 12-second teaser is the first glimpse that we’ve had of the upcoming season, and while we haven’t gotten an actual release date, it puts Ciri (Freya Allan) front and center as she trains with Geralt to become a Witcher herself—something we see in the next two books in the series, Blood of Elves and Time of Contempt.

Along with the teaser, Netflix says that it will hold a one-day virtual Witcher convention with the maker of the Witcher video game franchise, CD PROJEKT RED, on July 9th. There’s no details about what will happen during that event, but hopefully, we’ll learn a bit more about season two, and maybe get news on some of the other Witcher spinoff projects in the works.
