Well, not exactly—Sherlock tells someone, “I love you” in a new teaser for the upcoming fourth season. But who—John? Mycroft? A new character? We still have to retain some sense of mystery.
At 40 seconds, this new glimpse is super-short, but the gang’s all here: John, Mary, Molly, Mrs. Hudson, Mycroft, Culverton Smith a.k.a. the mysterious new villain played by Toby Jones… There are tricks, plans, demons, and the dark secret that might save his friends.
We know that this looks to be the darkest season of Sherlock yet, especially with the new tagline: It’s not a game anymore…
Sherlock premieres January 1 on PBS and BBC One.
