It’s a terrifying and bleak world outside of the Silo, as Juliette (Rebecca Ferguson) learned in the ominous finale of Silo’s first season. The adaptation of Hugh Howey’s series was renewed for a second season before the first had even wound up, and Ferguson has said that the creators hope to make it to four seasons in total. But let’s not get ahead of ourselves: First, they’ve got to survive season two, which will premiere November 15th.
The premiere date was announced at San Diego Comic Con alongside a surprising bit of casting news: Steve Zahn is joining the show for the upcoming season. He appeared at the panel alongside Ferguson, Common, Howey, and creator and showrunner Graham Yost.
According to Variety, Zahn’s character “only interacts with one character in Season 2, Ferguson’s Juliette Nichols, due to the solitary nature of his character.” Zahn himself said his character “has been living alone for decades,” and Ferguson described him as “scary and weird.”
Apple TV+ summarizes Silo like this:
Season two also stars Tim Robbins, Harriet Walter, Chinaza Uche, Avi Nash, Alexandria Riley, Shane McRae, Remmie Milner, Clare Perkins, Billy Postlethwaite, Rick Gomez, Caitlin Zoz, Tanya Moodie, and Iain Glen. It premieres November 15th with a single episode; the 10-episode season runs weekly through January 17th, 2025.
