Doctor Who Season 9 will start airing on September 19th! There’s a trailer! It’s got so many people (and places) that we were keen to see again! Check it out below:
Here is the trailer via BBC One–
What, Arya Stark, how do you know each other? What? Oh no, oh no, WE ARE SO EXCITED!

I’d be more excited if last season’s trailer hadn’t been so misleading with promises of setup that never happened. “I made a lot of mistakes, and it’s time I did something about it,” indeed.
However, rock and roll Doctor, THAT was a neat moment.
Seems pretty unlikely, but I’d be blown away if Maisie Williams were playing Susan. Although it would be kind of sad not to give Carole Ann Ford at least a little screen time in the role if she wanted it.

@@@@@ 3 – I bet we’d sooner see Carole Ann Ford, not because it would make the most sense in the narrative, but because neo-Who creators would rather embrace nostalgia wherever possible than embrace whatever is best for a particular episode, or the series in general.
The fact that the Doctor Who Series 9 trailer post has all of four comments in nearly 24 hours tells me one of two things:
1. Everybody who reads Tor.com is at Comic-Con
2. The new commenting system still sucks
Hmm…
Anyway, I don’t watch GoT, but I’m excited by the possibility of who this character could be. She’s only in two episodes, so I don’t think we can speculate on someone as important as the Rani, especially since the Master (Missy) is still floating around…she would get more screen time before they’d bring in the Rani. It doesn’t seem like the Doctor is happy to see her, exactly…
