Buzzfeed and HBO have revealed where to find the “dragon eggs” on the Game of Thrones season 2 Blu-ray/DVD set, all four of which contain a deleted scene from the season.

If you’d like to hunt them down yourself, Buzzfeed has posted a list of hints here. For those who don’t have the set, though, HBO has provided the clips below!

Sandor and Sansa have some extraordinarily creepy quality time, and the seeds are sown for developments between Sansa and Tyrion in season 3.

Varys taunts Littlefinger in the final episode of the season, and Littlefinger burns him right back.

Loras and Margaery Tyrell react to the mid-season death of Renly Baratheon and Loras says goodbye in this very touching deleted scene.

Dany’s handmaiden Doreah kills Irri for walking in on her dragon-napping.

Seems like the Tyrell scene shouldn’t have been cut, but we’re on the fence about the others. The Game of Thrones season 2 Blu-ray/DVD holds a lot of other fascinating oddities, as well. You can get a rundown of them all here.

I’m glad they deleted that scene with Doreah. It made her sound too cartoonishly evil, when I think her involvement was moreo out of greed (and stupidity) than real malice.

I would’ve kept the Sansa and Tyrell scenes. Littlefinger and Varys? We’ve seen it before and it’s a nice callback, but not their finests jabs. I’m glad to see these all posted. With HBO Go, I forget the fun of DVD extras.

I liked Loras and Margaery. Especially the way that he was so much more grief-stricken than her.

I liked the Loras and Margaery scene too, plus it was nice for Natalie Dormer to have a scene in an outfit that wasn’t outrageous(like that ice cream cone one she wore when she met Catelyn) and let her hide her cleavage. Plus that lingering shot might have helped people realize that Loras was wearing it when he walked into the Throne room with Tywin in Blackwater.

I thought that Varys and Baelish scene was very interesting, for all the stuff that comes out later, so I’d have liked to see it.

The Sansa one I’m kinda meh on. To me, it doesn’t really say anything that hasn’t been said before, IMO.

And yeah, the Doreah/Irri one was meh, too. Plus, Irri’s still alive in the books. Of course, Doreah may not be trying to kill her, per the dialogue, but that’s not covering her tracks very well. I liked that Dany didn’t know Doreah had betrayed her until she confronted Daxos, gave it more weight.

The Sansa one would have been good, given that it helps emphasise and build her relationship with both the Hound and Tyrion, both of which become important later on. The Loras and Margeary one was absolutely bloody fantastic and it’s a crying shame it was omitted, because it really helps define the two of them, as individuals as well as their sibling relationship. Loras come across as such a romantic, whereas Margaery is much more hard-headed, as well as less emotionally invested in Renly. It would have also hugely helped with the reveal about Renly’s armour later on, to cement it in the viewer’s mind. The other two scenes I could live without, but these two are a loss.

Why on earth did they delete the Loras and Margaery scene? Needed some more sex in an episode and they decided to sacrifice character development? One of the (several) problems I had with this season was how they handled Renly’s death, and that scene would have gone a very long way in mitigating those issues.

Ah, the Tyrell scene was great. I wish they had kept it. It would have been a sort of closure to the relatioship between Loras and Renly. I think the viewers would have appreciated that, especially since the show made their love so explicit. Plus it’s a great insight into Margaery, who’s one of the more enigmatic characters of the whole series. Perhaps they want to keep Tyrell motivations low-key for now, and save the good stuff for next season? We can only hope.

The Sansa/Hound/Tyrion scene would have been good too, especially as it hints at Sansa and Tyrion’s future relationship. I thought Sansa sounded a bit “off” when talking to the Hound, but overall it was a pretty good scene. And Tyrion’s “go find a tree” line was funny. I’m not fussed they cut out the Doreah/Irri scene (too creepy). And the Varys/LF scene is just like all their other scenes together, so that’s no great loss either.
