The animated Harley Quinn series is giving us major Deadpool vibes. We got the fourth-wall-breaking, meta-joke-making in the first trailer released at New York Comic-Con last year, and now the new San Diego Comic-Con trailer is bringing the R-rated dialog and slapstick comedy.
Unveiled on Saturday, the new clip opens with Harley saying, “It’s me, dickhead” to her formerly beloved Mistah J. With that relationship firmly behind her, she briefly indulges in some other break-up hijinks (like smashing her phone with her baseball bat) and then moves on to what really matters: becoming Gotham City’s “Queenpin.” To accomplish this, she teams up with (gasp) Batman, but not before taking a bat to the Joker’s nether regions first. Also in this trailer: Aquaman, Poison Ivy, a drug-doing venus fly trap, Clayface, and too many other DC cameos to count.
According to IMDb, the series stars Kaley Cuoco as Harley Quinn, Lake Bell as Poison Ivy, Sanaa Lathan as Catwoman, Alan Tudyk as the Joker, James Wolk as Superman, and Rahul Kohli as the Scarecrow. It comes out in October.
