The CW is gearing up for another Arrowverse series, Superman & Lois, which will debut in February on the network. Ahead of its release, The CW has released a new trailer for the show, showing off a family that’s struggling with a variety of problems—real world and others.

The Arrowverse is The CW’s big, sprawling adaptation of the DC Universe. The franchise kicked off with Arrow (about Green Arrow) in 2012, and it’s steadily grown from there, adding on The Flash (2014), Supergirl (2015), Legends of Tomorrow (2016), Black Lightning (2018), Batwoman (2018), and Stargirl (2020), with all of the shows sharing characters, or crossing over in big TV events.

We’ve seen the show’s titular couple before in the franchise’s shows—Tyler Lee Hoechlin (Superman) first popped up in Supergirl (and appeared in various crossovers) while Elizabeth Tulloch (Lois) made her debut in The Flash and has also regularly appeared in the crossovers.

Now, the two will get their own show. The CW announced that it was picking up the series last year, saying that it would follow the couple as they deal with the pressures of work and being parents. The trailer shows off some of that: Lois notes that when they envisioned a family, they didn’t think that they’d have lost their jobs, and would have kids that were dealing with severe anxiety and a move to rural Kansas. Along the way, we see a case full of kryptonite, Clarke revealing to his two sons that he’s actually Superman, and a mysterious villain threatening to bring it all down.

The series will kick off on February 23rd, and when it does, it’ll do so with a two-hour premiere alongside The Flash. Other parts of the Arrowverse are rolling out as well this month and next—Batwoman just premiered last week, while Black Lightning is set to return on February 8th. Legends of Tomorrow, Supergirl, and Stargirl will return sometime this summer.
