Clark Kent and Lois Land will be back next year for another season in the Arrowverse. Deadline reports that The CW has renewed Superman & Lois for a second season, just after the series debuted on the network this week.

In this latest DC adaptation, Clark (Tyler Hoechlin) and Lois (Elizabeth Tulloch) face a new challenge: raising their two children, Jonathan (Jordan Elsass) and Jordan (Alexander Garfin) in Kansas. It’s all of the complications that parenting brings before you figure in the problems that come with super heroics, and a strange villain who represents a major threat to the family.

According to Deadline, the 90-minute premiere episode brought in the best ratings for the network in two years, as well as solid streaming numbers for the episode online. In a statement, The CW’s CEO Mark Pedowitz said that “the phenomenal multiplatform debut of Superman & Lois, which delivered for us in a big way on both a linear and streaming basis, is a testament to the creativity, hard work and dedication of the talented people who worked tirelessly in front of and behind the camera, especially in this challenging environment.”

The series is part of The CW’s sprawling DC Arrowverse franchise, which kicked off in 2012 with Arrow, and has steadily expanded since with The Flash, Supergirl (which was ported over from CBS), Legends of Tomorrow, Black Lightning, and Batwoman. The shows have frequently crossed over in major TV events, and even intersected with the DCEU films in the recent Crisis on Infinite Earths event.

Superman & Lois airs on Tuesdays at 9pm ET on The CW.
