At least we can still have some nice things! The extremely excellent Harley Quinn isn’t going anywhere anytime soon. HBO Max has renewed the animated comedy for a fourth season, and also announced that writer and consulting producer Sarah Peters has been promoted to executive producer. For season four, she’ll take over as showrunner from creators Justin Halpern and Patrick Schumacker.

Nona the Ninth
In the wake of all the changes and cancellations at DC in recent weeks, there’s been some concern about the future fate of Harley (Kaley Cuoco), her beloved Ivy (Lake Bell), and the rest of the gang (a gang that includes Alan Tudyk as the Joker, Ron Funches as King Shark, Diedrich Bader as Batman, Harvey Guillen as Nightwing, Sanaa Lathan as Selina Kyle, and James Adomian as an incredible Bane). Season three is in full swing, with the finale set for September 15th, and it’s a relief to know the story’s not over yet.
At the end of season two, Harley and Ivy took their relationship to the next level after Ivy finally accepted that she wasn’t in love with Kite Man (Matt Oberg’s character will be fine; he’s getting his own spinoff from Halpern and Schumacker). But like so many people, supervillains have annoying exes, and when your annoying ex is the Joker, well, all kinds of mayhem are possible. And then there’s the little matter of Ivy and Harley’s plan to terraform Gotham into a plant haven.
