We spoke recently about how CW seems to be taking over genre television, and it turns out they’ve got another very fancy feather to add to their cap: the network is currently developing a reboot of George A. Romero’s Tales From the Darkside series! And even if the term “reboot” commonly makes you groan, they have something to sweeten the pot—
Joe Hill is going to be writing it.
The show will be produced by Roberto Orci and Alex Kurtzman, who seem to be charming people with that Sleepy Hollow thing they’ve got going on, so this really might work out. CW is calling it a “reinvention of the horror/fantasy/ thriller anthology series.”
As Chuck Wendig said via Twitter: “TALES FROM THE DARKSIDE reboot? With @joe_hill at the writing helm? *flings money at my television*”
