Walkaway, Cory Doctorow’s first adult novel in eight years, envisions a near-future in which technological advancements allow humans to simply walk away from oppressive economic and authority systems. You can read about this post-scarcity world for yourself in “Communist Party“, a free excerpt from Walkaway.
The novel will be available from Tor Books starting on April 25th. Doctorow himself begins an impressive tour on the same date, hitting over over 20 cities in North America, and bringing along notable guests such as John Scalzi (on his The Collapsing Empire tour), Neal Stephenson, and even Edward Snowden.
