Well, uh, that’s a horse if I’ve ever seen one. On Tuesday, Netflix released a first look at Roach, Geralt of Rivia’s hooven companion, in its upcoming adaptation of The Witcher, and she looks exactly as you would expect.
You begged, we delivered. Here’s your first look at Roach! #TheWitcher pic.twitter.com/Ll3LWtWcg7

No complaints, right? Wrong! In Netflix’s menchies, fans are questioning why this Roach isn’t up to the sort of rooftop shenanigans in which she’s usually partaking in the games.
That ain’t Roach until I see him on a roof.

It's not Roach unless he does this. Don't let us down @netflix!@witchernetflix pic.twitter.com/ZWR7ENJwVo

Well, luckily, there’s a very simple explanation for that. This adaptation of The Witcher takes after the novels, not the games, so we’ll be seeing a one-sworded Geralt, as well as a Roach who sadly kowtows to the laws of physics.
No word yet on the plot of the series yet, or any release date, but we’re guessing such info will be released amidst the giant Witcher panel at this year’s Comic-Con. In the meantime, check out Netflix’s previous first looks at the other cast-members, including a bewigged Henry Cavill as Geralt, Freya Allan as Ciri, and Anya Chalotra as Yennefer.
Yee haw!
