The upcoming Dungeon & Dragons live-action feature film starring Chris Pine looks like it might be a fun romp, based on what we’ve seen in the trailers. If you’re looking to find out more of what the movie will pull from the games, however, I’ve got good news for you: Paramount Pictures has released a featurette that has the actors highlighting some of the film’s many creatures.

We’ve already seen glimpses of the owlbear in previously released footage, but we get more owlbear action here as well as Pine saying that the beast is “a mashup that somehow pairs all of the terror with none of the cute from owls and bears.”

Pine and others in the cast (who read their lines with varied enthusiasm, I might add) describe the many creatures featured in this brief video beyond the aforementioned owlbear. What creatures in particular, you ask? We get glimpses of a mimic, a gelatinous cube(!), a displacer beast, an intellect devourer (a.k.a. a walking brain that gives M.O.D.O.K. a run for his money in its WTF-inducing appearance), and a red dragon who eats other dragons for breakfast.

I have to admit that what I’ve seen so far makes me excited to see the full film when it eventually comes out. But will there be other creatures that will grace the screen when Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves hits theaters? We’ll have to wait until March 31, 2023 to find out!
