We’ve only officially known for a month that there would be a third season of Interview with the Vampire, the AMC series based on the books by Anne Rice that follows a group of queer vampires that just can’t get enough of each other, for better and, oftentimes, worse.
We also knew that Season Three of the show would center on Rice’s second book in her series, The Vampire Lestat, and follow Lestat (Sam Reid) as he starts a band and goes on “a sexy pilgrimage across space, time and trauma.”
Until this weekend, we haven’t seen Reid’s portrayal of Lestat as a rockstar. At San Diego Comic-Con, however, AMC released a teaser showing the moody vampire sitting down, (kind of) agreeing to an interview with Molloy (Eric Bogosian), and being the drama queen that he is.
The video is fun in its own right, in no small part that some folks on the interweb have noticed that some of the vampire’s rockstar poses mirror some of Taylor Swift’s, something Swifties have a lot of thoughts and feelings about. We also, however, get the full song that Lestat/Reid sings at the end of the teaser. That tune is called “Long Face,” and you can listen to it here.
We don’t know when Season Three of Interview with the Vampire will make its way to AMC and AMC+, but the first two seasons are streaming there now for your enjoyment.
