As part of its original sequential art offerings, each month tor.com will be bringing you a new A Softer World strip, by the inimitable Joey Comeau and Emily Horne.
There are years worth of classic strips here, but these are ours.
This is an archive of our first publications, so most comments can be found on the original strips: 01 – 02 – 03 – 04 – 05 – 06 – 07 – 08 – 09 – 10 – 11-14 – 15 – 16

The 08 link only links to the 01 comic…

Fixed.
Now the 08 link is very broken. Love the strips, BTW! ASW FTW!
I love strip 04. thanks for posting these strips.
I can’t help but notice that none of these comics have alt text. Given that the alt text has been a part of each comic since the beginning of A Softer World, it seems like these comics have been mistakenly archived as images only, and that a significant element of their original form is no longer present. Were there alt texts when they were originally posted? Can anybody find and restore them?
Number six is SO a frankenstein allusion haha
Evan: I don’t remember all of them, but I think the alt text for #7 was “you look like kitties!”, and I’m pretty sure #10 was “it turns out, it was more like bees and flowers than birds and bees”. I’m probably not exactly right on #10, but I’m pretty sure that was what #7 said.
Thanks, Mike.
alt-text
1. FLIP CARS WITH YOUR MANHOOD
2. If it were storebought at least you could sue somebody
3. those who would give up freedom for catnip…
4. I shouldn’t have kissed that butterfly.
5. Fool. The machines will always win.
6. Finally, something to look forward to.
7. YOU LOOK LIKE KITTIES!
8. But I’d rather be haunted than just have lost her.
9. There is no me. I’m just a container.
10. Turns out it was more like bees and flowers than birds and bees.
