Kazu Kibuishi’s popular graphic novel series Amulet is getting a feature adaptation, and Netflix has signed on Jason Fuchs, the co-showrunner of the It prequel Welcome to Derry, to write the script with the author.
There are nine installments in Kibuishi’s series, and while Deadline isn’t clear on how much of the story the feature adaptation will get into, it’s safe to say that the events of the first book, 2008’s The Stonekeeper, will be part of the film.
Here’s the blurb for the first book:
The project is still in its early days so there’s no news yet on when it will appear on Netflix. It’s also not clear whether this will be a live-action or animated adaptation, but given the lack of clarification, it’s likely going to be a live-action endeavor.
