China Mieville is an English fantasy author who describes his work as “weird fiction”, writing in the tradition of early 20th-century horror writers such as H. P. Lovecraft. He is three-time winner of the prestigious Arthur C. Clarke Award and has also won the British Fantasy Award twice. His novels have been nominated for the Hugo, Nebula, World Fantasy and Locus awards.
