Published on November 26, 2014

In this episode of Rocket Talk, Justin is joined by Mahvesh Murad and Jared Shurin to talk about their new podcasting ventures, Midnight in Karachi and One Comic. Eventually the trio delves into their favorite books of 2014, making recommendations like it’s their job… which it is.

Mahvesh Murad is a Tor.com blogger and one of the smartest people in the biz. She’s a former radio host. Her show 89 Chapters was, until very recently, Pakistan’s only on air book show. With the show cancelled, Mahvesh is taking her talents to Tor.com, launching the second podcast in the Tor.com network with Midnight in Karachi. You can follow her on twitter or visit her website.

Jared Shurin is the co-owner and editor of the Hugo and British Fantasy Award nominated blog, Pornokitsch, the publisher at Jurassic London, co-editor of the Hugo-Nominated and British Fantasy Award winning Speculative Fiction 2012. He’s a trained BBQ judge and co-host of a comic book podcast called One Comic. Find Jared on twitter.
