Doctor Who 50th Anniversary Trailer Pays Tribute to Show’s History

Fans were a bit disappointed when the BBC announced that the first trailer for the Doctor Who’s 50th anniversary special would not contain any actual footage from the episode. We can’t exactly blame them for that, but the trailer they offered in place of any glimpses is still pretty incredible.

Some pretty impressive video skills went into this little montage, which shows each Doctor, and a few companions to boot. There’s a voiceover from Matt Smith insisting that this upcoming day is super important, a day he’s been running from forever because Important Things Are Going Down.

It’s a typical Moffat spiel that doesn’t necessarily mean much of anything, but seeing all the Doctor together in one technicolor walk-through is worth it.
