Via BoingBoing TV comes a new video with the sometimes inscrutable John Hodgman, he of Apple ad and Daily Show fame. He’s writing his second book, More Information Than You Require, and in this interview, BBtv’s Xeni Jardin snuck into his room at the Chateau Marmont in Hollywood, where he’s busy writing. He goes on at length about mole men, Nick Nolte, the founding fathers of the U.S. (and their relationship with said mole men, Thomas Jefferson’s in particular), ham sandwiches, and Soylent Green (soylentgreenispeople!). Check it out, and of course, check out Hodgman’s book once it drops on October 21.

John Hodgman on bbtv
“There is an art to smiling in a way that others will believe. It is always important to include the eyes; otherwise, people will know you hate them.”
N.K. Jemisin, The Fifth Season
Now if only I liked Xeni Jardin, this would be great. Or Boing Boing. I’m not a fan of some of the crap they pull.
John Hodgman is a genius! Unless of course, he is insane.
I look forward to his new book.
