We were under the impression there wouldn’t be any more trailers before Star Wars: The Force Awakens comes to theaters December 18, so here’s a nice little surprise: Walt Disney Studios Japan posted a trailer with some new footage!
The new trailer (in English, with Japanese subtitles) is very Rey-centric: We find out that she’s waiting on Jakku for her family (!) and we see how she first finds BB-8 and then Finn. Oh, and Kylo Ren wants her dead.
We still don’t know exactly what he means by finishing what Darth Vader started, but clearly that involves having Stormtroopers storm a village (Rey’s?) and burn it down not unlike the Lars homestead. Then there’s that awesome shot of him going after Rey with his crossguard lightsaber.
