Author

Michael Sloan spent several years working as a printmaker in Paris, France and Venice, Italy before moving to New York City. His illustrations first appeared on the Op-Ed page of The New York Times, where he remains a frequent contributor to the Letters column. He's created artwork for newspapers, magazines, book publishers, websites, academic publications, CD covers, and large corporations. He's the author of the Professor Nimbus books and comics. His graphic novel The Heresy of Professor Nimbus was awarded a silver medal from the Society of Illustrators. His third book, The Redemption of Professor Nimbus will be published in 2009. He's also a musician, and plays bass guitar in the all-illustrators jazz band The Half-Tones.

He once had an awkward moment just to see how it feels. He lives vicariously through himself. His organ donation card also lists his beard.
He’s a lover, not a fighter. But he’s also a fighter so don’t get any ideas. He is the most interesting man in the world…..I mean Nimbus.
